The Oxfordshire Way - Grade B
This footpath, until recently, was quite unknown and little used. It is now however, becoming more well trodden as it circles through some of the most quaint Oxfordshire villages.
This 65 mile route starts at Bourton-on-the-Water, progressing along the northern edge of Oxfordshire, before dropping down the eastern side, over The Chiltern Hills and south to Henley-on-Thames.
The distance covered each day will be approximately 12 miles.
Included in the price is your transport to the start every day and pick up at the finish, together with your walk leader for the 5 days.
The Ridgeway - Grade B
Distance – 87 miles
Approximately 13 miles per day over 7 days
Start – Overton Hill
Finish – Ivinghoe Beacon
The Ridgeway National Trail crosses some of Britain’s finest chalk downland landscapes. Its use goes back long before written records, stretching back, not just centuries but millennia. It stays with the high, dry ground of the downs. The open character of the land and the wide views, enjoyed from the escarpment edge are certainly major attractions. A very dramatic route indeed.
Your price includes pick up each day and return at the end of the walk and you guide for the 7 days.
The Cotswold Way - Grade B
Distance – 102 miles
Approximately 10 miles per day over 10 days
Start – Chipping Campden
Finish – Bath
The Cotswold Way takes the walker on a journey through a typical English landscape. We go from the bleakness of its highest sections, through gentle rolling farmland and into beautiful beech woodlands, with carpets of bluebells and wood anemone. We will have views over the Severn Vale, The Malvern Hills, The Forest of Dean and The Black Mountains.
The Cotswold Way is steeped in history, passing Neolithic burial chambers, ancient hill forts, bronze age round barrows, Roman Villas, historic houses, churches and abbeys. This National Trail contains a bit of everything for everyone, and is a stunning trip through the history of this great Country.
Your trip will include your pick up each day and your return trip at the end of each days walk.
