Expedition - Tatra Mountains - Poland

Introduction
TheTatra Mountains lie on the border between Slovakia and Poland. They are 78km long and 10km wide. The High Tatras consist mostly of Granite and descend northward into Poland. The Polish town of Zakopane lies at the base of the mountain range and offers up a superb entry point to this beautiful area.

Your guide for the expedition
Your guide for the week is Mountain Leader, Anna, from Poland. Anna did her training in the UK and has great experience, particularly in the Tatra mountains. She has travelled the world and recently cycled across Iran. She has just completed a visit to Vietnam. You are certain to be in good hands with this young lady, who will make sure that your experience is extremely memorable.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR CAMERA AS THE SCENERY IS STUNNING.
The Walks
There are 4 walks scheduled for the week. One is a ridge walk, following the border between Slovakia and Poland, giving excellent views into both countries. There is a valley walk, giving stunning views of the mountains you pass through. Following this, there is a walk up to one of the higher summits. This is probably the highlight of the week and the scenery gets more dramatic as you ascend.

The summit of Rysy is optional, being the highest summit on the Polish side of the Tatras, rising to a height of 2490m.

The distance walked each day should be no more than 10 or 12 miles and you are assured of a relaxing manageable pace.

2018 - Maltese Islands - Mediterranean

Introduction
The Maltese Islands lie to the south of Sicily in the Mediterranean, offering good weather throughout the year. The main island in the group is Malta, and to the north we have Gozo and Comino. As well as great walking, the islands offer varying types of water sports to enjoy, as well as many sightseeing opportunities.

Hotel accommodation in the tourist town of Sliema (Board basis - B&B)
Ferry Tickets between the islands
Guide to lead all walks throughout the week
Road travel to and from all walks.
Your guide for the expeditions
Mountain Leader, Steven Roberts, will be your guide for the week. Steven has travelled a lot in the Mediterranean and having lived in Malta for a period, knows the islands well. You are assured of seeing the most "out of the way" places that exist there.
The Walks
There are 4 scheduled walks, 2 of these will be on Malta, 1 on Gozo and 1 on Comino, finishing with a dip in The Blue Lagoon, should you so wish.

The average distance covered in a day will not exceed 10 - 12 miles.
